Walking Therapy
Walking therapy is a gentle, grounded alternative to traditional in-room sessions. Instead of sitting indoors, we walk side by side in a natural setting — usually in one of the peaceful green spaces around Glasgow. This approach can feel less intense for some clients and offers the added benefits of movement, fresh air, and a relaxed environment. Rooted in the principles of ecopsychology, walking therapy also recognises the positive impact nature can have on our emotional wellbeing.
Walking therapy in Glasgow follows the same evidence-based CBT framework, just in a more informal setting. It can be especially helpful if you feel more at ease outdoors, find sitting face-to-face difficult, or simply prefer to be active while talking things through.
Areas we commonly support clients with:
Anxiety & worry
Depression & low mood
Stress & burnout
Self-esteem & confidence
OCD, phobias, and panic
Life transitions and decision-making
